It’s the fourth quarter of the final game of the season. Your team is down 30 points and your star player is hurt. What will you do?? Well, if this was high school I would have probably continued to warm the bench while my coach picked the second best player on the team! Thankfully I’m no longer in high school and have taken my rightful place in the stands of sporting events haha!

But what in the world does this have to do with anything? Well, let me tell you! The fourth quarter of the year (AND DECADE!) is fast approaching and we have to finish out this year strong! I know all of you have goals and whether your goal finishing game looks like what I described above or your totally killing the game, this is the best time to reevaluate where you are! For those of you who look up and feel like you’re in the fourth quarter of the game, 30 points down, with no star player you still have the ability to win!

Galatians 6:9 says “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.”

You may not have gotten as far as you thought you should have but you still have plenty of time to make a big impact! You have much more time than an eight minute high school basketball game quarter.  Matter-a-fact you have a little less than 3 whole months- that’s 13 weeks; 98 days; 141,120 minutes- to still kill it!

So here are a few tips you can use to get fired up and make the end of this year the best part of 2019 yet!

  1. BE RARE and take some time to Review, Activate, Reward and Examine those goals! Do you still want to do it? Is all of it still feasible in the 13 weeks you have left? Take the time to be sober minded about your goals. Put some tools in place to help you realize that goal and get some clear next steps. You may not be able to lose 50lbs in 13 weeks but you probably could lose 20 if you get some clear next steps, work hard, and make some life adjustments to keep it at the forefront of your mind!

  2. Re-up motivation: Why do you want to accomplish that goal? Write the motivation down! Write several reasons down on why this goal is so important and keep it in your face. These will be the things you look at when you start to give up. Believe me, you will need it!

  3. Dream big and get excited: You have 13 weeks to do something spectacular! What would it feel like to accomplish that goal you’ve been itching to complete for years? How would your life change if you ran into 2020 on a high of knocking out something that has been plaguing you! I don’t know about you but I’m super excited to totally kill it in these next 13 weeks!

So let’s end out the year with a bang! What are you going to do to make those goals, or better yet dreams, reality in 2019? Let me help you make this last quarter your best yet!
