I saw that meme above on Instagram the other day and it had me thinking. I, for real, screamed with laughter when I saw it because after this year I know we’re all like “nope don’t you dare say a word” but guys! Let’s still dream let’s still hope!
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Ephesians 3:20, MSG
I saw this version of Ephesians 3:20 in The Message translation of the Bible and it just reminded me of the fact that God really can do anything! So, still believe, still hope, still think about the new year and think about it with new possibilities. In these last few days of 2020 take some time to evaluate this year. Take a moment to look for the good that did happen, because I can assure you something good did happen this year! And then, dream about what 2021 could be. 2021 is full of potential because it isn’t here yet. Begin to dream about it. Begin to declare what it can be and walk towards that.
God can do anything you know.
I encourage you to not shy away from 2021 because 2020 decided to be crazy.
God. Can. Do. Anything. You. Know.
Another translation of Ephesians 3:20 says that He can do above anything you can ask or think..—but you have to ask and you have to think about it first!
So I’m super excited to ask and think! And, like I do every year, I’ve taken some time to do exactly what I just told you to do. Here’s a few things that I do every single year that prepare me for the new year:
- I take some time off work and evaluate my past year. I look at my planners and see what I’ve accomplished and just look back at everything. I take a look at the painful moments to and I take a moment to thank God and also put the year to bed! I pray I seek God I cry out to him I thank him for the good and I ask him to heal me from the bad.
- I look at my goals to see what I accomplished and what I didn’t accomplish. I make that my beginning point in figuring out what I want to do in 2021.
- I then look at my Life Plan to see how much closer I’ve gotten to my desired future and dream about the next steps for each one of my life principles (Get into my Write It Down Right Course for more information on that!)
- I finally write my goals down and submit it all to God in prayer! I thank Him in advance for a great year!
Those are a few of the things I do at the end of every year! I encourage you. Do some of this stuff and I promise you– your 2021 will be way different than your 2020! Because…
God can do anything you know.
